Fireside Chat with Ken Huang and Merve Hickok

Ken Huang is a prolific author and renowned expert in AI and Web3, with numerous published books spanning business, technical guides, and cutting-edge research. He serves as Research Fellow and Co-Chair of the AI Safety Working Groups at the Cloud Security Alliance, Chair of the OWASP AIVSS Project, and Co-Chair of the AI STR Working Group at the World Digital Technology Academy. In addition, he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco, where he teaches Generative AI for Data Security.
Ken is also the CEO and Chief AI Officer of DistributedApps.ai, a firm specializing in generative AI-related training and consulting. His technical leadership extends to his role as a core contributor to OWASP's Top 10 Risks for LLM Applications and his work with the NIST Generative AI Public Working Group.

Merve Hickok is the President of the Center for AI & Digital Policy (CAIDP), a globally renowned AI policy, ethics, and governance organization educating practitioners in over 120 countries and advising international bodies. She has testified before the US Congress, California State Legislature, and several city governments on AI governance issues. Merve provides AI policy expertise to OECD.AI, UNESCO, GPAI, and the Council of Europe, and is also the founder of AIethicist.org. Her work centers on the societal impact of AI systems, particularly regarding fundamental rights, democratic values, and social justice. She is the author of From Trustworthy AI Principles to Public Procurement Practices.
