Webint Analyst (Mobile)

As a Webint Analyst on ActiveFence’s Mobile team, you will leverage your expertise in internet and mobile applications (both Android and iOS), online resourcefulness, diverse interests, technical skills, and hacker-like mindset to solve puzzles and lawfully access hard-to-find open-source data from the deep web. You have a passion for discovering information online and within mobile apps, and you are relentless in your pursuit of answers. You are adept with data, thrive in a highly technical environment, and excel in high-stakes situations. You enjoy working on multiple topics simultaneously and are eager to learn new things.

Among the day-to-day tasks: 

• Monitoring dark web sources, external websites, forums, and messaging app channels to identify malicious activities.
• Conducting in-depth research on mobile apps, policies, and mitigations to detect threats to users, platforms, or mobile devices.
• Analyzing extensive data sets of apps to extract valuable insights.
• Compiling research findings and insights into comprehensive intelligence reports.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as an analyst with proven experience in OSINT/WEBINT tools.
• Fluent in English, both writing and speaking.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies rapidly.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
• Excellent research and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong technical aptitude and comfort working in a highly technical environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work on diverse topics simultaneously.
• Proven ability to produce comprehensive and well-structured intelligence reports.
• Passion for discovering and analyzing information from online sources, including deep web and mobile apps.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in coding/scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with mobile apps and ad-tech ecosystems.
• Experience in cybersecurity intel research, including understanding of malware threats.
• Background in analyzing large data sets and extracting actionable insights.
• Prior experience with threat detection and mitigation strategies.
