COVID-19: Battling Virus & Disinformation

Disinformation campaigns are essentially networks of interconnected websites and social entities that are carefully orchestrated to artificially promote and amplify content, allowing it to reach a wider audience. Usually generated by actors with ideological, political, or financial motives, these campaigns aim to impact public opinion.

To avoid detection, their organizers continually seek novel tactics and alternative platforms to keep disseminating content online. This report uncovers several narratives and dissemination tactics related to Covid-19 vaccines  currently active online. Targeting society at large, these campaigns present false claims of vaccine ineffectiveness, potential harm, and fraudulent approval processes, while attacking vaccine manufacturers and potentially risking public health.
