The Israeli start-up ActiveFence appoints Michael Parker as CMO and Assaf Ohana as CPO

Parker will lead strategic marketing and advance the company’s go-to-market expansion process, Ohana will lead the intelligence and AI products.

NEW YORK, January 31, 2023 – ActiveFence, the leader in providing Trust & Safety as a Service, protecting online platforms and their users from malicious behavior and content, announced the appointments of Michael Parker as the company’s CMO and Assaf Ohana as CPO. As part of his position, Parker will lead the company’s marketing and will work closely with Sales to advance the company’s expansion process and Ohana will lead the development of a range of products that the company leads as well as the complete solution strategy for the Trust and Safety industry.

ActiveFence’s mission is to protect platforms and their users from malicious behavior and content, providing a full stack of capabilities for Trust & Safety teams with deep intelligence research, AI-driven harmful content detection, and content moderation platform.

Parker, a seasoned and successful entrepreneur, Parker has over 20 years of experience in high-tech marketing, storytelling and category creation. He was CMO at Armis, the leading asset visibility and security company. He launched Armis from stealth in 2017 to become the award-winning leader in the IoT, OT, IoMT security space with a $2B valuation. Before that, he was CEO and Co-Founder of Zamurai, an enterprise collaboration solution acquired by LogMeIn in 2014. Before that, he worked at Symantec running enterprise marketing across its $4B offering, and driving product marketing for its $800M backup product line.

Ohana, lives in Gan Haim, Israel has about 20 years of experience in product management and strategy development. Ohana returned to Israel after 12 years in Silicon Valley. Before ActiveFence he was in senior management positions at Instachart, a grocery delivery company that reached a value of approximately $40 billion, at Upwork, a platform for recruiting freelancers that was issued in 2018, and Alto, the largest digital pharmacy in the US.
